Let the season begin,

I used to watch my parents work very hard getting the first floor of their house ready to be rented for each summer. I would see this as I was dashing out to go to play wiffle ball or ride my bike or play video games. Occasionally I would help them but I did so only because it didn't seem fair that they had to work so hard. I was lazy!

Well now I can't just put things off to play wiffle ball or ride my bike because now I have my own apartments to be responsible for. Well they're Julie's responsibility too but no matter how much I would like to I can't let her do all the work (just most of it).

A strange thing happened as I was working to clean the apartments and, in one case, remodel a bedroom. I understood why my parents worked so hard. There is a sense of satifaction when your work pleases others and we hope that you will be pleased.

There is much we want to do but time and money aren't always on our side. We have decisions to make and questions to ask before we decide what is next. We hope that you will have some suggestions on what you would like to see improved because you are the ones who we ultimately want to please the most.

In addition to making aesthetic improvements to the apartments we hope other little touches will be apparent. I don't want to give too much away so I won't give any specifics but we do hope you find our efforts have paid off.

One such improvement we've made can't be seen or felt but we hope will make a big difference anyway. With so much talk of energy in the news lately combined with our concern for the future we are changing our energy provider to Green Mountain Energy. This means that as you are cooled by the air conditioner, read by the light or cook on the stove, no pollution is being generated. All the power comes from renewable energy such as wind or solar.
