Hello from A & J Villas,

I think this has been the longest time between updates since we began the web site. We’ve been busy, real busy. Of course the work on the Plush Chamber has taken most of our time but there has been more. We’ve neglected our own house and so took some time to make sure it was still livable. We also did a major cleaning of apartment 1 (which still doesn’t have a name) and we’re still not done.

Julie and I took a week off from work and headed down to the Crest to finally finish up with our work on the Plush Chamber. We didn’t finish but there really isn’t much more to do so now we’ll turn our attention elsewhere. We have a lot of cleaning to do since we used every part of the house to store stuff while the Plush Chamber was out of commission.

The Plush Chamber is not the only improvement we’ve made. We purchased a new grill and a cover that should help protect it from the weather and a new picnic table is soon going to grace the back patio. We hope this will make the patio a hub for everyone to enjoy the good weather this summer.

The Wildwoods themselves have been busy making improvements and adding new entertainment choices. The new convention center is open and is really nice. Even the New York Times had an article about Wildwood this past Sunday. The opening line of the article says it all “Wildwood never lacks for goofy, devil-may-care wonderment.” Tuesdays will be skydiving days! Every Tuesday you can skydive onto the beach at Schellenger avenue – or just watch other people do it. If skydiving isn’t for you but you still want to get a birds-eye view of your favorite vacation spot then you can take a helicopter ride from the boardwalk. Of course there’s a lot more activities throughout the summer and they’re all listed on the schedule of events page.

This past weekend there was a hot rod and classic car show on the boardwalk. To celebrate the grand opening of the new convention center Wildwood hosted the world record setting tallest sand-castle at 27 feet 10.75 inches.

We’re really excited about the summer and hope you are too. There’s going to be plenty to keep us all occupied. We’ll see you all soon.

A.J. and Julie,
